JESS
Quiet everywhere but on stage, I obtained a BFA in Theatre from Shenandoah Conservatory in 2009. In 2016, I received an MEd in Education, which was performing on a daily basis! It’s led to my wanting to make nonfiction texts as accessible as possible for every listener in my performance. Spending over 3 years living in Northern Ireland was great craic, and only bolstered my love for accents and dialects.
I love stories about strong women, sweeping history or mythology, and those featuring awkward young people with gumption. I bring a grounded yet playful, and connected presence to every piece. When I’m not recording, you will find me in mud-caked boots, covered in flour, chasing my children, or dancing (poorly, but happily).
