FAQ

  • How can I work with you?
    • Easy! We can do it via ACX, or off platform where I can set up a contract with you via email.
    • If you are picked up by a publisher, you can also request me!
  • Do you do children’s books?
    • Absolutely! The minimum charge will be one hour of finished audio.
  • Do you do Royalty Share projects?
    • Currently, no, only Royalty Share Plus (RS+). However, I am always happy to refer colleagues who are!
  • I’m nervous. This is my first audiobook. Where do I start?
    • I hear you – not only are you going through the whole “publishing your book baby” process, you’re now having to navigate the audiobook world! My job is help you feel comfortable and confident throughout the process. If you have specific questions, email me at the address above and I’ll do my best to answer them. If we are working together, I will send you a very thorough Author Welcome Packet that details the entire process from start to finish!
  • This may sound silly…but do you read the book first, or do you just wing it?
    • Oh I definitely read it first. We call that “prepping the book” in the audiobook community. It’s so important that we read it for pronunciations, character development, and overall readiness to narrate the project. I take this very seriously. You should see the spreadsheets!
  • What are some things authors wished they knew before doing their audiobook?
    • How clear they need to be on pronunciations if they have a preference.
    • Reading portions of your book out loud to get a sense of the flow of your writing.
    • It takes time! It’s not a two week turnaround kind of thing.
  • How far in advance should I try to get on your schedule?
    • I currently book 4-6 months in advance. When you have an idea of your book’s release timeline, you can ask me to “pencil you in to my schedule.” To better ensure I will have space for your project, you can put down a deposit that we can work out together.
